A new eco-educational trail has been inaugurated within the Batsra-Babaneuri Protected Areas

A new eco-educational trail has been inaugurated within the Batsra-Babaneuri Protected Areas.

The recently constructed trail, along with its accompanying infrastructure, was visited by Davit Iosebashvili, Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas, and Giorgi Simonishvili, Director of the Batsara-Babaneuri Protected Areas.

The 18 km long circular trail, through information boards, will give visitors the opportunity to get to know the Batsara-Babaneuri protected area and its unique biodiversity. The trail is equipped with all the necessary infrastructure, including a ranger shelter.

The eco-educational trail set up in the Batsara-Babaneuri protected areas is financed by the state budget. The cost of the project was 704,000 GEL.

Batsara-Babaneuri protected areas are located in the Kakheti region, Akhmeta municipality. The new eco-educational trail is now open to visitors.
