The Agency for Protected Areas is launching the implementation of the new SMART patrolling monitoring feature — SMART Survey.
The development of the SMART patrolling system in Georgia’s Protected Areas is entering a new phase. The introduction of SMART Survey will enable structured and regular biodiversity monitoring.
The pilot location for the project has been designated as Machakhela National Park, where the initial stage will focus on piloting bear monitoring using the SMART Survey tool. International experts will be actively involved in the training and capacity-building of staff throughout the process.
