A memorandum of cooperation has been formally executed between the Agency of Protected Areas and the Resorts Development Agency.

The primary objective of this memorandum is to jointly foster the development of ecotourism within the protected areas. The signing of the memorandum involved the Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas, Davit Iosebashvili, and the Director of the Resorts Development Agency, Aleksandre Onofrishvili. Notably, the promotion of ecotourism in protected areas stands as one of the key focus areas for the Agency of Protected Areas under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture. In furtherance of this objective, the Agency actively collaborates with various entities, including international and donor organizations.
