Borjomi National Park’s 20 years anniversary

Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia, Gigla Agulashvili visited Samtskhe-Javakheti region, where Borjomi Strict Nature Reserve’s 80 year and Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park’s 20 years anniversary had been held.
Photo exhibition had been held at the Visitors’ Centre of Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. At the exhibition, winners’ photos and historical photos of Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park had been presented.
Gigla Agulashvili discussed with invited guests about park’s achievements and future perspectives. Minister emphasized, that eco-tourism development will facilitate local population’s income increasment.
Today, Minister gave donor organizations and employees of the parks certificates for their role in the process of park’s development. Gifts were given to Georgian and foreign visitors too.
Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park is the first park in Caucasus that has specific wild nature and fauna.
The event had been attended by the representatives of diplomatic corps and local government.
