Czech Experts Visit

In the fame of the project Development of Cave Monitoring in Imereti Caves, Czech speleologists visited Georgia that aimed caves microclimate monitoring and Satsurblia cave speleological evaluation. Czech experts – Karel Drbali, Vratislav Ourabka and Petr Zeichek met with the Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas Lasha Moistsrapishvili and the director of Imereti Caves administration Zaal Kvantaliani. In the frame of the visit, they had been at Prometheus. Sataplia, Satsurblia and Datvi caves, where humidity and temperature equipment had been fixed. At the same time, administration had been equipped with the microclimate research equipment. From installed equipment information had been extracted, and at the same time, training had been held for the employees of the Imereti cave administration, in order to operate data. It must be noted, that Cave administration of Czech Republic presented personal computer to the Imereti Caves Protected Areas administration, where all information concerning caves’ research results be together. Experts visited Racha, in order to study newly discovered caves and micro-climate. They also visited caves existed at Martvili territory. Experts visit will last till 3rd of November. The above project is implemented by the support of Cave administration of Czech Republic and by the financial support of Czech Developmet Agency.
