From April 1 to July 1, traveling in the Samukhi Valley will be partially restricted.

During this period, we expect the birth of the 12th generation gazelles in the Samukhi Valley.

Due to the active breeding season of gazelles, traveling in the Samukhi Valley will be partially restricted from April 1 to July 1. Movement will be allowed only along a pre-designated route and with a limited number of vehicles.

These restrictions aim to ensure the safety of gazelles and their newborn calves and to minimize stress on the animals.

The goitered gazelle (jeyran) restoration project is being successfully implemented on the initiative of the Agency of Protected Areas under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, together with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), with financial support from the German Government (KfW) and the active involvement of the Government of Azerbaijan. Today, their population exceeds 500 individuals.
