Protected Areas of Georgia – achievements and challenges

Coordinating meeting of the Agency of Protected Areas had been held, where the main topic was: Protected Areas of Georgia – achievements and challenges. At the meeting, 18 directors of administrations presented 9 months report and emphasized implemented activities during last 2 years, also poaching rules steepen, tourist infrastructure and services enhancement and eco-educational events more frequently conducting had been discussed too. At the meeting future plan of actions and existing challenges and problem solving issues were discussed too. The meeting was attended by: Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia Gigla Agulashvili, Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas Lasha Moistsrapishvili, and representative of GFA Ramaz Gokhelashvili. The meeting was held by the financial support of GFA.
