Tightened Security Measures at Tbilisi National Park

In order to better secure the internal car roads at the territory of the Tbilisi National Park (which includes Saguramo, Tianeti, Gldani, Martkopi and gardabani districts) special control plan has been developed. As a result, on all motor ways leading towards the forested territories of the National Park restriction barriers has been set up and from now on, entering the forest zone of the park will only be possible upon the prior admission of the Administration of Tbilisi NP Administration.

This type of actions will help to eliminate facts of illegal logging at the territory of Tbilisi NP and will refine the mechanisms of fighting against poaching, illegal logging and related activities.

In total, 14 barriers have been installed at the territory of Tbilisi NP.
