Cleanup Event has been held at Tbilisi National Park
On May 23, 2014, the Agency of Protected Areas of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia, in collaboration with LEPL Vocational College Mermisi, organized a cleanup event at Tbilisi National Park.
Vocational college students, together with the park’s director and rangers, spent the day cleaning up bottles, bags and other litter.
Established in 1973, Tbilisi National Park is Georgia’s first national park. It is located in the Saguramo-Ialno Ranges and their branches of the southern slopes of the main ridge of the Caucasus Mountains. It consists of sections from Saguramo, Gldani, Martkopi, Gulelebi and Gardabani. Tbilisi National Park is the closed protected area to Georgia’s capital city, Tbilisi.
