At Javakheti Protected Areas, Javakheti National Park opening ceremony had been held. Invited guests were form governmental and non-governmental sectors, representatives of diplomatic corps, province, local self-government and local eparchy. The visitors visited Javakheti visitor center and looked around tourist infrastructure. Javakheti National Park creation project was financed by BMZ and KfW. The project had been implemented by WWF. In the frame of the project, administrative building and visitor center had been constructed. Fully equipped Javakheti Protected Areas’ administrative building, the employees of administration attended training courses, Javakheti Protected Areas management plan had been prepared and several socio-economic programs for villages supporting zones had been implemented.
