Winners of the Grant Competition for Residents Living Near Racha National Park Announced.

The winners of the "Support for Small Family Businesses" grant competition, organized by The Agency of Protected Areas, have been announced in the village of Glola, Oni Municipality.

A total of 31 applications were submitted, of which 17 beneficiaries were selected. The total amount of grant funding awarded to the winning projects is GEL 14,982.

The funded initiatives will contribute to the development of small family businesses, the improvement of tourism services, and the strengthening of the local economy. Supported initiatives include the development of beekeeping, promotion of equestrian tourism, equipping family guesthouses, establishment of a fast-food facility, and other small business initiatives.

The grant competition aims to strengthen the economic opportunities of communities living in the vicinity of Racha National Park, support local entrepreneurship, and promote sustainable tourism development.

The competition was implemented by the Protected Areas Agency within the framework of the project "Biodiversity and Sustainable Local Development in Georgia", with the financial and technical support of the German Government.
