The Agency of Protected Areas is actively preparing for the summer tourist season
The Agency of Protected Areas is actively preparing for the summer tourist season. As part of these efforts, eco-tourism infrastructure is being upgraded in the Imereti Caves Protected Areas Administration, in the vicinity of Sataplia and Navenakhevi Cave.
Repair and rehabilitation works are being carried out within the framework of the project. At Navenakhevi Cave, walking trails, the amphitheater building designated for the eco-educational space, and the open-air visitor waiting area are being renovated. Concurrently, various rehabilitation tasks are underway in the Sataplia area. These improvements will support the development of eco-tourism and enhance the visitor experience when traveling through the Imereti Caves Protected Areas.
Navenakhevi Cave is located in the Terjola Municipality and represents one of Imereti's major natural landmarks. The cave is distinguished by its unique karst formations, stalactites, and stalagmites, drawing particular interest from both tourists and nature enthusiasts.
Notably, starting April 1, Navenakhevi Cave will join the "European Youth Card Program," offering cardholders access to special discounts during their visits.
