A Working Meeting Was Held in Oni Municipality Between Representatives of the Agency of Protected Areas, Local Authorities, and Local Communities Regarding the Demarcation Works of Racha National Park

During the meeting, the importance of demarcation in the process of effective management and sustainable development of protected areas was discussed.

At this stage, demarcation works are underway in the vicinity of the villages of the Glola and Sakaura communities. Within the framework of the process, the boundaries of the protected area will be reviewed and refined, separating privately owned land plots, operating religious structures, and other non-typical infrastructure objects from them.

Meeting participants placed special emphasis on the active involvement of the local population and the consideration of their interests.

It is worth noting that demarcation works are carried out following the creation of any new protected area or the expansion of an existing one.
