Demarcation work for the boundaries in Tana Managed Reserve has been completed
Demarcation work for the boundaries in Tana Managed Reserve has been completed.
Boundary demarcation work has been completed across an area of approximately 10,986 hectares in Tana Managed Reserve. In connection with this matter, a working meeting was held with stakeholders at the Gori Municipality City Hall.
Establishing exact boundaries will enable the local population to register ownership and freely dispose of the land plots that fell within the park's borders following the creation of the protected areas.
During demarcation, private properties, active places of worship, power line pylons, and other infrastructure objects not characteristic of a protected area are delineated from the boundaries of the protected territory.
Demarcation work is carried out after the creation of every new protected area or the expansion of an existing one.
Tana Managed Reserve, located in Gori Municipality in Shida Kartli, was established in 2023.
