Kolkheti National Park is the winner of the National Tourism Awards
Kolkheti National Park has won an award in the annual competition celebrating excellence in tourism and hospitality. This year, five protected areas in Georgia participated in the National Tourism Awards. The winners were selected by a jury comprising Georgian and international professionals.
Kolkheti National Park is one of Georgia’s outstanding natural heritage sites. It encompasses the Colchic Rainforests and Wetlands, which are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and is distinguished by its exceptional biodiversity.
The park offers visitors the opportunity to discover the unique wetland ecosystems of Colchis. Visitors can take boat or pontoon trips on Lake Paliastomi and the Pichori River, while observing a wide variety of bird species.
The National Tourism Awards have been held annually since 2015, aiming to recognize outstanding achievements and highlight excellence in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
