“Strengthening the Management of Georgia’s Protected Areas” – Twinning
Project
The project aimed to develop management plans for the Lagodekhi, Mtirala, Imereti Caves, and Ajameti Protected Areas in accordance with a new methodology; familiarize relevant stakeholders with EU legislation on protected area management; and establish an effective mechanism to ensure the involvement of local stakeholders in the development and implementation of management plans.
Within the framework of the project, management plans were developed for the Lagodekhi, Mtirala, Imereti Caves, and Ajameti Protected Areas, among other activities.
