Completed projects
Development of Small-Scale Ecotourism Infrastructure and Biodiversity Monitoring in Tusheti Protected Areas
Project
The project aimed to develop the necessary tourism infrastructure (e.g., bridges, interpretive panels, and other facilities) and monitor biodiversity in Tusheti National Park and Tusheti Protected Landscape. It also sought to establish and mark tourist routes.
Within the framework of the project, essential infrastructure was developed and biodiversity monitoring was carried out in Tusheti National Park and Tusheti Protected Landscape. The administration’s website was updated. Czech volunteers visited Tusheti and worked alongside administration staff to repair pedestrian bridges and assist with fencing the Omalo nursery. Directional signs were installed, and the area along the Diklo–Shenako road was cleaned up with the help of Czech volunteers.
