Supporting the Restoration and Conservation of Landscape Biodiversity along the Iori River
Project
The project aimed to restore and conserve biodiversity in the Iori River Valley.
Within the framework of the project, a pasture management plan was developed for the pastures within Chachuna Managed Reserve, defining a rotational grazing scheme and stocking rates per hectare. Ecotourism infrastructure was built for the Chachuna Managed Reserve Administration. Monitoring of the Iori River floodplain forest was carried out. The impact of the gabion and rockfill structures on flooding in the floodplain forest was assessed.
