Improving Natural Resource Management and Expanding Services in Protected Areas to Promote Sustainable Rural Development
Project
The project aimed to develop forest management plans for four protected areas (Algeti National Park, Lagodekhi Managed Reserve, Lagodekhi State Reserve, and Tetrobis Managed Reserve), inventory specific areas within protected areas, and identify accurate data on forest-covered areas.
Within the framework of the project, a mobile application for protected areas was developed, bringing together all protected areas and key sites in their vicinity. The qualitative and quantitative characteristics of forests were also determined. Unique ecosystems of exceptional importance for biodiversity were identified.
