The project aimed to reintroduce deer into Tbilisi National Park.

Within the framework of the project, monitoring of species present in Tbilisi National Park was carried out, threats were identified, and risks were assessed. The collected data were processed and used in the development of the “Red Deer Restoration Plan for Tbilisi National Park.” The assessment of the source populations of red deer in both Lagodekhi Protected Areas and Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park was completed. An analysis of the needs of Tbilisi National Park Administration was also completed, with the findings and conclusions to be incorporated into the Red Deer Restoration Plan for Tbilisi National Park.
