Improving the Effectiveness of Management and Wildlife Protection in Racha National Park (GC)
Project
The activities defined under this grant were aimed at improving wildlife protection and strengthening the management system of the newly established Racha National Park. Specifically, the grant supported the implementation of a protection system in Racha National Park and the provision of necessary SMART technologies to rangers to facilitate patrolling and detect cases of poaching and illegal logging. A snowmobile, a trailer, and the relevant equipment were also procured. In addition, a series of capacity-building training sessions was conducted for the administration’s staff on the use of modern technologies and the protection of the national park and its wildlife.
