Nazodelao Cave Natural Monument
Attraction: This natural monument is one of the most remarkable caves in Georgia in terms of its characteristics. It is a 600-meter-long, large-scale clastokarst and pseudokarst cave developed in Quaternary conglomerates.
The cave opens into an entrance chamber, which forms the terminal section of a subhorizontal branched gallery (tunnel). A sizeable cold underground river flows along an erosional canyon carved into the floor of the main gallery. In some places, the canyon reaches a depth of 7–8 meters. Two branches extend from the main gallery; they are narrower and shorter than the main passage. One of the galleries is a through-passage and opens to the surface at its upper end. Bats can be found in the cave and its surrounding area during the summer.
