Tobi Waterfall and Arsen Okrojanashvili Cave Natural Monument
Attraction: The natural monuments complex comprises the Arsen Okrojanashvili Cave (Toba II) and the Toba Cascading Waterfall emerging from it, creating a rare and spectacular natural attraction.
The cave is difficult to access, and climbing to it without special equipment is not recommended. A rubber boat is required for exploration inside the cave. It was formed in Upper Cretaceous bedded limestone. The entrance (15 × 20 m) opens along a cliff. The three-level, multi-branched cave contains several chambers, including the “Nona Chamber,” “Nana Chamber,” “Salon,” “University 50,” “Lake Chamber,” and others. The cave features a variety of chemical deposits in different forms. One of the stalagmites reaches a height of 7 meters. The total length of the cave is 1,300 meters.
The river emerging from the cave forms four underground lakes and creates the 234-meter-high Toba Cascading Waterfall, the highest waterfall in Georgia.
