Keterisi Mineral Vauclusian Spring Natural Monument
Attraction: At the foot of the Greater Caucasus Range, beneath a deposit of lava boulders, a powerful group of springs emerges from Upper Jurassic carbonate flysch. Researchers have named this spring system the “Narzan-Vauclusian Spring.” The springs discharge 25–30 million liters of calcium-bicarbonate mineral water per day, equivalent to 300–350 liters per second. The river originating from the springs flows through the village of Keterisi, where a cascade of mills has been established along the mineral-water stream.
