Natural Monument
Gabzaruli Tba Natural Monument
Attraction: The natural monument is formed in Lower Cretaceous limestone. The shaft opens as a wide fissure on a slope covered with deciduous forest. The fissure extends northward for 60 m, with a width ranging from 2 to 25 m. At a depth of 25 m below the surface, a 45-metre-deep siphon lake is located at the bottom of the fissure. The fissure siphon is one of the components of a cave system. The level of the siphon lake corresponds to the elevation of the outlets of the Kumi River.
Location: Tskaltubo Municipality, village of Kumistavi, 1.7 km northwest of the Kumi Vauclusian Springs, in the Kumi River basin, at an elevation of 166 meters above sea level.

Access: The nearest major settlement to the natural monument is the town of Tskaltubo. Tskaltubo is located 257 km from Tbilisi; the journey takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Tskaltubo – village of Kumistavi: 7.5 km; approximately 10 minutes.
Village of Kumistavi – Gabzaruli Tba Natural Monument: 3 km; approximately 25 minutes.
Accommodation: The most convenient option for overnight accommodation is to stay in Tskaltubo or Kutaisi, where hotel accommodation is available.
Where to stay - The most optimal option is stay overnight in the city of Kutaisi, where it is possible to stay at a hotel or a guesthouse.
There are no hotels in the town of Tkibuli.
